  • East Maui Animal Refuge AKA Boo Boo Zoo − A $5,000 grant to fund the overall care at the animal refuge facility on Maui, a no-kill, all volunteer-run, non profit, rehabilitation sanctuary for injured and orphaned animals who would otherwise die.   • Lahainaluna High School Foundation − $3,000 grant to help cover the Lunatechs Robotics club cost of travel to the national competition. Education  http://www.lahainalunahs.org/ 
  • Imua Family Services − $3,000 grant for funding to offset study related costs for the Early Childhood Development Program research study, which looked to measure whether or not continued therapeutic support to children age 3-6 with mild to moderate developmental delays improves education performance by age 3 and reduces the number of children who require special education services.
